The data is gathered by first parsing the top 500 web sites from Majestic's 1,000,000 site CSV. Source material is here
The data used to be obtained from Alexa, but Amazon has discontinued the Alexa service and no longer makes the data available. As a result, I had to find another source for the data. Majestic is CCA and the above, in addition to being common courtesy serves as the required attribution to satisfy the license agreement.
The site names are then checked for AAAA records via the raw
name and also www. Each column is tallied and totals (and percentages) are shown
at the bottom of the table.
